When you schedule your initial assessment, you can expect a 30–60 minute session during which the therapist will gather important background information, including your mental health history, family history, and details about the current concerns bringing you to therapy.

Together, you and the therapist will begin to identify goals and create a plan to guide your treatment moving forward.

Individual sessions are 30 to 53 minutes in length and can be provided for young children, adolescents, or adults. The focus of each session is guided by the treatment goals established during the initial or follow-up assessment.

Progress is reviewed every three months for up to one year, though this may vary depending on the client’s presenting concerns and individual needs.
